It works for me anyway.
Going back to work is always hard, and that's after 2 weeks I can't imagine 6 weeks would be like. I hope you get used to it this week, and get on with your writing goals!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8169148405354916052.post-344909920949879632012-09-10T06:10:32.592+01:002012-09-10T06:10:32.592+01:00I liked what you said about 100 words bringing you...I liked what you said about 100 words bringing you closer to that writing goal. Yes! And so will 250 words. Can you write at work -- coffee break? Sneak away once in a while for a writing lunch? Before you went back to work, was a particular time of day more useful? Early or late? I hope the transition goes smoothly and you find a way to write "between". I'm sure you can do it, but don't be so hard on yourself, because we don't always meet our goals. You know we don't ;)
GO, Em, go!
Have a great week!Juliana Haygerthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18028869545185578038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8169148405354916052.post-8781096982895741042012-09-09T23:23:08.991+01:002012-09-09T23:23:08.991+01:00Em, I hear you about the effect of the day job. I still find that I have to write before work, no matter how horrible that sounds, because I am mush-brained afterwards. Hang in there, you'll start to see better results!

Also, I have to apologize to you. You commented on my September 2nd check-in, but Wordpress put your comment in spam! I didn't see it until today. I am so sorry for the delay!Elizabeth Anne Mitchellhttp://elizabethannemitchell.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8169148405354916052.post-10381511684010689852012-09-09T15:39:08.940+01:002012-09-09T15:39:08.940+01:00Returning to work had the same impact on me two we...Returning to work had the same impact on me two weeks ago: I would just come home and do anything but write because I felt tired and without a functioning brain. But this week was much better for me, as I'm sure next week will be for you. I agree with your idea of keeping your goals as they are and to try to slowly ease back into writing. Have a great week and happy writing!EM Castellanhttp://emcastellan.com/noreply@blogger.com
