ROW80 Check-in 11th December 2011

Should be short but sweet today.

Still pleased I have signed up for the 100 books in a year reading challenge. Two books a week will be tough but I will try my best.

I am 99% sure next year I am going to continue writing my chick-lit story that I was writing in the summer. There are 30,000 words already although I know there needs to be some heavy editing but I think this will be how I start my writing year for 2012. I feel excited by this!!!

I am also going to add in exercise goals as lets say.....things have slipped recently on the food and exercise front.

Feel like I know where I am heading so fingers crossed I get my head in gear for the start of 2012 (and also make an amazing sticker chart to motivate me like newtowritinggirl!)

Hope everyone has had a great week and two weeks today it will be Christmas!

  1. Yay, I'm so happy to hear that you're going to go back to your chick-lit story, especially since you've gotten such a hefty chunk written. I'm poking at the steampunk story again, and it's funny how much I've missed it.

Exercise goals are definitely going on the top of my list for next round... er, again, seeing as I had some ups and downs this round. But we must keep trying!

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend, my dear!

  2. Wow, 100 books in a year? Damn. I wanted to participate but I can barely read 60 lol 40 more would be too much.
I'm glad you're excited about your chick-lit! Yay!
    Good luck with it!

  8. The sticker thing is brilliant, it really keeps me motivated (and decorates the kitchen!).
100 books a year. Wow! I struggled with 26 this year! Good luck on that (are you going to start reviewing books too??).
As you've got 30,000 words you should definitely go back to that if you're in the right frame of mind! Don't forget editing the NaNo novel too though...?

  9. Congrats on your progress and on winning NaNo! I am just now crawling out from under my desk after a horrible November and seeing how everyone did! That 100 books a year things sounds like something I might have to sign up for...it will keep me motivated in my reading. I haven't read anything just 'for fun' in, well it seems like forever! Good luck this week and I will be back to twitter soon. Just finishing my last final of the semester before I do!

  10. Whoa! 100 books in a year! That's going to be an awesome and fun challenge. And it sounds like you're ready to kick off your writing for 2012--it's great to be excited about the story you're going to work on.

I'm with you on adding in exercise goals. My food & exercise have slipped, too. But if we add them into our goals, we can cheer each other on with that as well. :)
