More musings this end and some as a result of helpful comments made by newtowritinggirl (thank you!). If I focus on my chick-lit what about my NaNo murder mystery? Even if I don't 'do' anything with it surely editing and revising is something I need to learn and I would feel a great sense of achievement if I knew I had gone back and made it better.
With this in mind maybe my ROW80 goal in January will be to write or revise an hour a day. Then I can go between the two and focus on what I want as my mood arises. As a plan it might be ok and I guess I can tweak this goal as needed!!
Things are crazy this end and we had our nativity play today, so proud of all my little ones but will be ready for bed early tonight!
Hope everyone is having a great week even though it is FREEZING here!
It's horribly cold isn't it! Everytime I go outside I feel ill - weird!
ReplyDeleteSorry, or maybe I'm glad?, I made you think about the NaNo novel. I've had the dilemma of writing or editing every year after NaNo so far. So far I've gone for neither! Lets hope this January I go for something a little more productive!
Doing two major project together is hard but maybe you're the kind that can do it. If not, focus on one and then do the other afterwards. Either way, we'll be here to support you.
ReplyDeleteI actually like working on two different WIP's at the same time. When I'm frustrated with one, I just jump to the other one! Good Luck and just feel good that you've already done so much!!
ReplyDeleteWatching little ones during the holidays ...so great. Glad you are formulating a plan for your two WIPs. I will finish my NaNo novel in January, then go into edits with it. My plan is to publish in March. (Fingers crossed...ha!)
ReplyDeleteAre you setting a deadline for these steps - like entering edits - and publishing?
Sorry to hear you are freezing...it's been fairly mild so far in my region. Have a happy Christmas, Em!
Yay! Revising! Always an adventure. Sounds like you are doing well. Keep up the good work :)
